EL9111, EL9112 Triple Differential Receivers / Equalizers
Product Description:
The EL9111 and EL9112 are triple channel differential receivers and equalizers.
Detailed Description:
These devices are aimed at compensating for the huge frequency losses incurred when transmitting video down a CAT 5 cable, which result in the video signal being blurred and unrecognizable. A simple analog voltage (Vctrl) governs the amount of compensation. As the voltage is increased from 0 to 1V, the compensation level is increased, with 1V matching about 1000ft (300m) of CAT 5 cable.
A second control allows the DC gain to be adjusted by 6dB, to ensure the correct video levels. This is a separate control for each color, allowing the user to adjust the color balance.
The EL9111 and EL9112 also contain a 3-statable output, enabling multiple devices to be connected in parallel and used in a multiplexing application.
The EL9111 is a special version of the EL9112, which decodes the sync pulses from the three signals, if they have been encoded with the EL4543.
Features
| Features |
Benefits |
| 45dB of frequency compensation |
Allows you to adjust for different lengths of CAT 5 cable, up
to 1000ft (300m). |
| 6dB of adjustable gain on each channel. |
Allows the user to adjust the DC gain of the signal, insuring
the video is the correct brightness. This also allows the balance of the three
colors (R,G & B) to be adjusted for the correct color balance. |
| 3dB Bandwidth of 150MHz |
Ensures the parts can work with a variety of high resolution video
standards. |
| 3-statable output |
Enables multiple devices to be connected in parallel and used
in a multiplexing application |
| Differential receiver |
Converts the differential signal from the twisted part cable,
back to a single ended signal, ready for processing or displaying. |
| Only 108mA on a }5V supply |
Low power consumption |
